This is the final fitness entry before Europe. Next Saturday will be the beginning of my countdown series. I have spent this year trying to keep myself in physical shape so that my 50 year old body wouldn’t hold me back on this trip.

I’ve said all year it wasn’t about my weight – though I’ve tracked it, along with watching my caloric intake and trying to increase my water intake. I’ve exercised and tried to get some physical activity into my daily life.

So have I achieved my goal? Did I make it over the top? I guess we’ll see when I get to Europe. Europe will have to be the judge of that.
